ニコン 宇宙記録撮影用機材として Nikon for Space

• NASA（米国 航空宇宙局) から宇宙での記録撮影用として機材を受注。



• デジタル一眼レフ「D3S」を11台。交換レンズ「AF-S NIKKOR 14-24mm F2.8G ED」7本を受注。

• 同機材は、今後のスペースシャトルに搭載。国際宇宙ステーション（ISS）内の撮影機材として使用予定。

• 採用製品は市販品と同等。「D3S」の信頼性の高さを実証。

• 国際宇宙ステーションにはすでに「D2XS」やレンズ、スピードライトが常駐し、撮影機材として活躍中。

• 1971年に「NASA仕様 Nikon Photomic FTN」がアポロ15号で採用されて以来、NASAから宇宙へ持ち込まれたニコン機材で70万枚以上もの写真を撮影。



• The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has placed an order for Nikon.

• Total of eleven D3S digital SLR cameras and seven AF-S NIKKOR 14-24mm f/2.8G ED lenses to be used for photographic documentation.

• NASA will be carried on the Space Shuttle and used to photograph activities at the International Space Station (ISS) in the future.

• No special modifications will be made to these products. They will be the same products available to end-users, confirming the incredible versatility of the D3S.

• This equipment will be used along with the Nikon D2XS digital SLR cameras, NIKKOR lenses, and Nikon Speedlights already in use at the International Space Station.

• 1971: Nikon Photomic FTN (NASA specifications) was used on Apollo 15.
